American Red Cross: Sound the Alarm

Just one day of your life can change someone else’s forever.
Every day 7 people die from home fires. That’s why the American Red Cross is rallying volunteers to team up with fire departments and partners to Sound the Alarm. Join us in Bessemer on April 17th, and Birmingham on April 25th & May 1st as we install free smoke alarms in at-risk communities to help prevent these needless tragedies. Events are from 9:00 am-1:00 pm, and volunteers will receive lunch and a t-shirt. Training provided the morning of the events.
Join our growing movement to save more lives, like Janette and her son Timothy, who safely escaped a home fire after smoke alarms were installed.
