What is YP ?
Created in 2007, YPBirmingham strives to inform and engage the young professional population in the Birmingham metro area. We hope to encourage the young members of Birmingham’s workforce to participate in local events, learn about the critical issues facing our city and develop a sense of commitment to Birmingham.
YPBirmingham is a nonprofit volunteer-run organization governed by a Board of Directors. Board members are selected based on their areas of expertise, level of involvement in the Birmingham area and dedication to the cause of empowering and promoting the young professional population. Why should you join YPBirmingham?
Through our networking events, we provide our members the opportunity to make new friends and business contacts. Through our monthly Calendar of Events email blasts, we create a guide to the area’s best events catered to our demographic.
We are also the only organization in Birmingham to offer a feature like our newly launched Guide to Young Professionals. This resource will allow our members to advance their careers by promoting themselves to their peers and others through an online database that’s searchable by field of work. We’ll have more details soon on how you can be included in the Guide.
How do I join YPBirmingham?
Currently, any young professional may join our email list to receive our monthly Calendar of Events. However, certain event discounts and other offers are limited to holders of the YP Retail & Event Discount Card.
